One of the greatest challenges in the office or classroom is managing your creativity.  When you’re sitting in a room, brainstorming over a topic alone, you often lose perspective without another person to offer feedback or keep you on track.  A company called Cognitee has built an app for your iPad called the BrainPlots.

It is built to organize your brainstorming and report creation so you can clearly see any logical flaws or cognitive biases.  With the app, you drop ideas in the form of circles – or tags as they call them – the larger the circle, the stronger the concept – then you add information to it  - similar to a sticky-note.  When that idea leads to another one, create a circle, then connect it.  By repeating this process, you create links between ideas to manage your thinking and prepare for presentation.

The app also has an intelligent set of rules that’ll help organize and rearrange your thinking with suggestions on where there might be logic issues or biases.  It will also recognize thought tendencies – definitely something I haven’t seen before.  Brainplots also provides analysis reports after your brainstorming session so you can see where your consistencies lie and what is lacking.  It’s a great brainstorming app that’s available for FREE on your ipad.  So to download it, head to brainplots.com today.
