AppWatch Review
Designed as a replacement for binders and sheet music, this app allows musicians to digitize and replace all that paper. At its very core, ForScore is an organizational tool and viewer for sheet music. It allows you to download or import PDF sheet music. Then, the built-in search engine makes it so even a huge library doesn't become unwieldy.
You can easily rearrange or duplicate pages to handle repeats, as well. It includes text and drawing tools for making notes in rehearsal. The half page turn feature gives you a preview of the top half of the following page so there are no jarring transitions. Speaking of turning pages, it's compatible with Bluetooth page turners and pedal devices so you can turn pages hands free. Conductors can even sync their iPads with choir or orchestra members' iPads, allowing them to turn their pages for them. ForScore is used by choirs, orchestras, jazz musicians and even university marching bands.
The app goes for $9.99 on the iPad and $6.99 for the iPhone version. Save a tree and get yourself the ForScore app by searching for it in the appstore today.
