AppWatch Review

It is hard to believe, but somehow it's already winter. These long cold days will dramatically reduce our typical outdoor routines and activities. Luckily, a handful of apps allow users of Intel® Atom™ processor-based Android tablets to enjoy their free time, regardless of the forecast. Today we’re going to highlight a few of these apps that can be appreciated by users of all ages, for the months when the outdoor temperatures drive us inside.

First up, cold snowy weather no longer means you have to give up outdoor sports. Stick Tennis offers 10 realistic court surfaces from around the world.  Easy to play, but difficult to master, the app features fast and fluid gameplay and a huge range of unique player styles.  You can thump professional style crosscourt winners while tackling the sophisticated physics engine that rewards tactical play. A fun game for tennis lovers but also for anyone who loves, well, fun!

Next, if you prefer putting your creativity to use, Pencil Sketch is an easy to use app that will enhance your artistic skills. Pick a photo from your gallery to generate the sketch in black and white or color. Edits are simple and by using social media, sharing personalized shots from the holidays has never been so easy. Definitely a unique time passer.

For the third app, you won’t miss a moment with High Speed Camera that takes 40 captures a second. Take action shots of your pets, loved ones, and little ones over the holidays. Get caught up on scrapbooking when you can add live image effects to your photos, to make memories that much more creative. Or, develop your digital scrapbook with the ability to create animated files.

Lastly, there’s nothing like learning about something new to take you through the winter months. With The Night Sky Lite, you can gaze into the night sky and identify stars, planets, galaxies and constellations. Simply holding your mobile device towards the sky can provide entertainment and education for the whole family. A very fun app.

All these applications that help you stay entertained while indoors, and many other apps, are featured on the Intel showcase that are also optimized for Intel® Atom™ processor-based tablets for Android. You can also directly downloaded the apps by visiting your Google Play Store
