A new app called Klyme has reengineered the weather app concept by giving users personalized weather tips based on their age, gender, and location - like what you should wear, some activities you could do in the evening, and people’s mood about the weather near you. Now obviously Klyme still shows the temperature and precipitation, but it also shows wind and visibility. And when you swipe across the screen you get the more pertinent information that you care about, like clothing, social sentiment, and activities. And because it’s a social app, you can post and share your own comments on the weather for others to see.

Also, if you want to see an extended forecast, all you have to do is rotate the screen horizontally and you’ll get the next 7 days. And you can see the next 24 hour forecast by swiping across the current weather. It’s a great app for anyone to use – from the weather geek to an ordinary person. The app is free and available for iOS devices.
