Miss America Nina Davuluri helps IHOP donate money for Children's Miracle Networks.

In an effort to raise more than three million dollars for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities, IHOP will one again give away millions of free pancakes and its more than 1,500 restaurants nationwide from 7am to 10pm on National Pancake Day, March 4th.

In return for the free short stack of its famous buttermilk pancakes, all IHOP asks is that customers consider donating what they would have spent on pancakes, or more, to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Since its inception, IHOP's National Pancake Day has helped raise nearly 13 million dollars for charities across the country and this marks the ninth year that IHOP has flipped free pancakes for charity. Joining in this year's campaign is the newly crowned Miss America Nina Davuluri. We spoke with her at an IHOP recently and she told us where all the donations go.

"All the funds raised in the local community, local IHOPs, will stay at the local Children's Hospitals, so you are benefiting your community."
