AppWatch Review
Perhaps the most famous living scientist in the world is astrophysicist Stephen Hawking. He recently teamed up with Random House to create an iPad app that helps us laymen understand some of the basic theories of our universe. Stephen Hawking's Snapshots of the Universe is designed to introduce key theories and progressively teach material without having users getting lost in concepts that are traditionally complex.
There are 8 major principles that the app dives into, and each principle is explained and taught through engaging and fun experiments. One of my favorite theories is how gravity makes planets stay in orbit around stars, which is taught by letting you build a solar system piece by piece. All the games and experiments are perfect for adults and students who are interested in learning the basic theories that govern our lives on Earth and in space.
It's available now for iPad via the App Store for only $4.99. If you want to learn more, just visit RandomHouseDigital.com today.
