Saloote offers the first interactive platform where people can connect on a purely music level by creating mash-ups with other artists. To use it all you have to do is search through their library of songs to find one that you want to record a cover of.

Then, right there in the app, you record the song with your particular talent: whether its the guitar, keyboards, drums or singing. Once you're done recording you can browse through other users' videos to find the other instruments or vocals of the song that they recorded. You can then combine their recordings with yours, the app will do all the syncing for you, to create a “virtual band”. You can then upload it to the app and other social platforms.  The library has only 15 songs right now but they have a partnership with Sony for 100 artists, adding 3 new songs per week.
