SeeSpace InAiR - Viewer Interface for  TV - Tech Product Review

Tech Product Review

A kickstarter company called SeeSpace has created the InAir, a small device that uses Automated Content Recognition to understand what you're watching on television and provide an overlay of related web content and social media channels for sharing.

The final product is a minority-report like experience, where viewers are swiping through content as their television plays. So for example, as you watch a football game, content on the teams playing, the stats of a receiver who just caught a ball, or even other scores going on can pop up for you to check out. Now you can control the entire experience through an app on your mobile phone with swipe gestures or you can connect it to an Xbox Kinect or Leap Motion and use hand gestures to move through the content -- hence the minority report reference.

Setup is incredibly easy was well. Just plug one end into the HDMI port on your tv and the other into your cable box. That's it. Very cool product that's a major step in the fusion of television and internet.

Now InAiR won't be available until September, but to learn more just head to http://kickstarter.com and search "InAiR".
