Here's an app for professional drivers, or truckers, to some. The hard-working men and women who can use a break and some help along their routes. Now as a bit of a backdrop, most truck stops are divided into two services: fuel and go and full service. The app TruckSmart was built for full-service stops so  drivers can be more efficient with their down time. In the words of its creators and users, it’s basically a full service app for full service stops.

So these are some of the features. We'll start with shower credits, one of the more important ones. Drivers may only get home 4 to 5 times a year so as they travel across the country they have to shower. Conventionally they can earn shower credits as they fuel up. They finish fueling and can then go inside and put themselves in the queue for a shower. But with this app they can trigger the shower while in the parking lot resulting in less time waiting. Another feature is the interactive map, which lets drivers pinpoint all T.A. and Petro locations along their route. You can see fuel prices at each stop and get call-ahead truck maintenance. Again, less time waiting. With hours spent each day trying to find somewhere to park, drivers are left with lost time that can stack up. TruckSmart will tell you where you can park and how many spots are available along your route. With Reserve-It parking integration you can reserve parking ahead of your arrival. With the Roadside Assistance program all you have to do is push a button and Roadside Assistance will be dispatched to your location. The dispatcher receives the call with the longitude and latitude coordinates of where the truck is, based off location services in the app. You don't even have to tell them where you are.

This app is wildly efficient and removes a lot of headaches for professional driers, but it doesn't stop there. Included are some additional features that inform you of full and quick-serve restaurants coming up or the ability to redeem points towards using WiFi and even sharing your location with anyone via e-mail.
